IRebuild Africa recently celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child with a group of special needs girls from Timely Performance Care Center special needs school. Our theme, “Invest in Girls’ Rights: Our Leadership, Our Well-being,” guided us to create a memorable event focused on empowerment and education.
During the event, we conducted a dynamic and informative session that delved into the rights of girls, addressed the sensitive issue of sexual abuse, and provided essential guidance on menstrual hygiene management. Through engaging activities and discussions, we aimed to equip these special needs girls with knowledge and skills that are crucial for their well-being and self-empowerment.
Recognizing the unique challenges faced by special needs girls in accessing support and resources, we made a significant impact by donating menstrual kits and educational materials to assist them in their personal development and hygiene needs. It is vital to ensure that all girls, regardless of their circumstances, are included and supported in initiatives promoting their rights and well-being.
At IRebuild Africa, we are dedicated to fostering inclusivity and promoting the voices of marginalized groups, including special needs girls. By emphasizing their importance and advocating for their rights, we strive to create a more equitable and empowering future for all girls
